We are excited to let you know that World Book Day 2026 will be celebrated in school on Thursday 5th March. This year, we will be marking the occasion with a special Shakespeare theme, giving children the chance to explore some of the most famous stories and characters in literature.
Children are invited to come to school dressed as any Shakespeare character if they would like to. This is completely optional — pupils are equally welcome to come in their usual school clothes if they do not wish to dress up. Costumes can be simple, homemade, or adapted from things you already have at home.
Throughout the day, each class will be focusing on a different Shakespearean theme, exploring scenes, characters, poems and plays in an age appropriate and engaging way. Activities will include drama, storytelling and opportunities to learn more about Shakespeare’s world.
